    5.11 Student Right-to-Know and Campus Security Act

    I. POLICY STATEMENT

    The University of Texas at San Antonio (世界杯官方app) is committed to providing current and prospective students and employees with important information about campus crime and security policies. To accomplish this, 世界杯官方app collects and reports on campus crime statistics, campus security policies. 世界杯官方app will also make timely reports to the campus community on crimes considered to be an ongoing threat to students and employees and reported to campus police or local police agencies. 

    II. RATIONALE

    This policy outlines the responsibilities of 世界杯官方app to collect and report this information to ensure compliance with the Student Right-to-Know and Campus Security Act (the Act) 20 U.S.C. Sections 1092(a), (e) and (f), as amended and the Crime Awareness and Campus Security Act of 1990 (CLERY Act).

    This policy applies to all current 世界杯官方app students and employees, perspective students or employees, and visitors.

    VIII. RESPONSIBILITIES

    1. 世界杯官方app Police Department

      1. Publishes and distributes an annual report of campus security policies and crime statistics specified by the CLERY Act to all current students and employees and perspective students and employees upon request.
      2. Publishes in the annual security report its policy regarding sex-related offenses, including sexual assault prevention programs, education programs to promote awareness of sex offenses, administrative disciplinary procedures and sanctions for offenders,  domestic, dating violence, and stalking incidents on campus, and counseling and student services for victims.
      3. Publishes an annual fire safety report containing policy statements as well as fire statistics associated with each on-campus student housing facility, including number of fires, causes, injuries, deaths and property damage.

      1. Annually calculates institutional completion or graduation rates for undergraduate students.

    IX. PROCEDURES

    On October 1st of each year, 世界杯官方app will publish and distribute an annual report of campus security policies and crime statistics to all current students and employees; provide copies of the report to applicants for enrollment or employment upon request; and submit a copy of the report to the United States Secretary of Education. The annual campus crime statistics report will reference crimes that occurred on property owned, leased or controlled by 世界杯官方app. When such statistics are available from local police departments, the report will be supplemented with a listing of crimes that occurred off-campus in buildings or on property owned, leased or controlled by 世界杯官方app registered student organizations.

    世界杯官方app will publish in the annual security report its policy regarding sex-related offenses, including sexual assault prevention programs, education programs to promote awareness of sex offenses, administrative disciplinary procedures and sanctions for offenders, domestic, dating violence, and stalking incidents on campus, counseling and student services for victims, and counseling and student services for victims. Included in the report is a statement advising the campus community where to locate law enforcement agency information listed by state under 42 U.S.C. Section 14071 (j).

    世界杯官方app will keep a fire log that is open to public inspection and publish an annual fire safety report containing policy statements, as well as, fire statistics associated with each on-campus student housing facility, including number of fires, causes, injuries, deaths and property damage.

    世界杯官方app will annually calculate institutional completion or graduation rates for undergraduate students. This information can be found in the 世界杯官方app Fact Book. (The federal requirement for calculation of a completion or graduation rate applies only to institutions of higher education that admit undergraduate students who are enrolling for the first time at an institution of higher education and have not enrolled previously at any other institution of higher education.)
